The questions owners ask first.
If yours isn't here, bring it to the demo — we'll answer it there.
What actually happens on the free demo?
It's a 30-minute conversation about your business, not a sales pitch and not a setup session. We go through how your calls are handled today — how they come in, who picks them up, what happens when nobody can answer, and how follow-up works after the job.
From there we explain the two plans, answer your questions, and tell you which one fits your business. You'll come away with a clear picture of where opportunities are slipping away and what fixing it would look like — whether or not you end up working with us.
Is the free call the setup call?
No. They're two separate stages. The demo is free, takes 30 minutes, and exists to work out whether IronBolt makes sense for your business.
The setup call happens afterward, and only if you decide to move forward and choose a plan. That's the session where we actually build your system with you: the assistant's voice and greeting, your business information and services, the questions it asks, what it collects, your callback preferences, business and escalation rules, notifications, and call routing.
Does it sound like a robot?
It sounds like a person on a phone. Callers can interrupt it, change the subject, and ask questions, and it keeps up. It doesn't read a menu and it doesn't ask anyone to press 1.
You choose the voice and the communication style during setup — friendly, warm, professional, direct, conversational, casual, or polished. If someone asks whether they're talking to a person, it answers honestly and keeps helping.
Does it book appointments on my calendar?
Not as a standard feature. IronBolt answers the call, asks the questions you chose, collects the customer's details and the reason for calling, finds out when they want to be called back, writes a summary, and texts it to you.
You make the booking — but you make it already knowing who called, what they need, and when they're available, instead of playing back a voicemail or calling someone just to find out what the job is.
What does my customer hear? Do they know it's AI?
They hear your company. The greeting names your business and the assistant introduces itself as your assistant — your customers never hear the name IronBolt. IronBolt is the technology running behind the scenes.
If a caller asks directly whether they're speaking with a person, the assistant tells them the truth and carries on helping.
What happens to the calls we do answer?
Nothing changes. IronBolt handles calls that go unanswered, hit a busy signal, or are routed to it. Your office answers exactly the way it does today.
We already have an answering service. How is this different?
An answering service takes a message. IronBolt runs the conversation you would have run: it asks your questions, collects the details your team needs, finds out when to call back, and writes it up.
What lands on your phone is a lead you can act on, not a note saying somebody called.
Who runs it once it's live?
We do. There is no software for you to learn, log into, or administer. We handle the configuration, the integrations and the technical work, watch how the assistant performs on real calls, maintain it, and troubleshoot anything that comes up.
When you want something changed — a new service, different hours, a question added, a different escalation rule — you tell us and we make the change. That's part of the service, not a separate job.
Do we have to change our phone number or our software?
No. It works off the number you already advertise, and your crew doesn't install anything or learn anything new. How calls reach the assistant — unanswered, busy, or routed — is set up on your existing line.
What if a customer is having an emergency?
You define what counts as an emergency for your business and what should happen when one comes in. The assistant follows that rule: escalate the call, or follow whatever next step you've approved.
How long can a call run?
Every deployment is configured with a maximum call duration so a conversation cannot run on indefinitely. The exact limit is set during setup based on your business.
If a call reaches the limit, the assistant follows your approved next step — gather final information, tell the caller someone will follow up, escalate, or end the call appropriately.
How does Premium contact my existing customers?
Through calls and texts that go out in your company's name, on a schedule you set. A check-in every three months is a common starting point, and the timing is fully customizable, as is the messaging.
Campaigns are configured around your eligible customer contacts and their communication preferences, with opt-outs honored and consent requirements, carrier rules, and applicable laws taken into account. Not every past customer is automatically contactable — working out who is eligible is part of setup.
Do you work in my state?
Yes. We work with service businesses in all 50 states, and the system is built around your service area and time zone rather than ours.
Call recording and transcription are enabled by default, and recording law varies by state — the notice and configuration for your business are set during setup.
What am I actually paying for?
The work, not a login. We configure your call flows and the assistant's prompts, build the workflows behind them, set up how callers are asked questions and qualified, build the call-summary and follow-up process, and connect it all to your phone. Then we keep it running — monitoring it, maintaining it, fixing anything that breaks, and adjusting it as your business changes.
Pricing is built around your business, so both plans are quoted rather than sold off a shelf. We'll go through your call volume and give you your full pricing on the demo, before you commit to anything.
